JonBenet Ramsey House Is for Sale but Who Would Want to Live There? (PHOTOS)

The Boulder, Colorado house where JonBenet Ramsey died in 1996 has been listed for sale for nearly $2 million — though it seems absolutely unthinkable that anyone would want to purchase it. And considering this is the fourth time the current owners have tried to unload the place, it's clear that they're having more than a tough time of finding the right buyer.

At 7,240 square feet with 5 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms, the home is stately, luxurious, and in a sought-after location. But that doesn't change the fact that one of the most horrible unsolved murders in U.S. history took place inside its walls.

Oh, and would you believe that the real estate listing on Zillow even shows a photo of the basement where that poor, beautiful little girl was found strangled to death?

And you know what's even sicker? Whoever does wind up purchasing this property will probably see that as some disgusting selling point. Like the home has historical value or something.

Can you imagine any normal person going to sleep there each night without replaying the events of what happened to JonBenet in their head over and over again? Then again, maybe there is an ideal buyer out there (like somebody who is not from the U.S.) who knows nothing about the history of the home and will be very comfortable there.

It really is a gorgeous mansion — if you can get past the sadness factor. Check out the photos below to see more of the interior … including the shot of the basement that's being used to help market the place.
