Is there really such a thing as a perfect body? Some people think so and spend their entire lives working to achieve what they believe is the ideal form. That may mean countless hours in the gym or in front of the mirror with detailed hair and makeup application. For others, it's costly and risky surgeries that sometimes take a scary turn.
Yered Licona, a Spanish-speaking mom and comedian who posts on Instagram as @wandersloveroficial, was on a journey for the perfect behind and traveled to Canada for injections. But her quest for a dream body turned into a nightmare, leaving Licona with scars and a rough road to recovery.

Licona is known for her sexy appearance.
The 40-year-old often posts provocative images on her Instagram account showing a fabulous form. But like millions of other women, it seems she didn't feel perfect enough. According to LAD Bible, Licona had traveled to Canada for a procedure but, on a return flight, began to realize something wasn't right.
Suddenly, her buttocks began to feel rock hard.
LAD Bible explained that Licona got up to figure out what was happening to her.
"It started to hurt and I went to the bathroom and I felt my bum and it was really hard," she explained. "I thought to myself 'What's going on?'."
A visit to a doctor revealed that she'd undergone a botched plastic surgery procedure and her body was fighting the foreign substance inside her.
Licona was suffering from a rare ailment after the surgery.
She reportedly showed classic signs of ASIA, which stands for autoimmune/inflammatory syndrome induced by adjuvants. Her body was likely reacting to the silicone used in the procedure, and in order to heal, it had to be removed.
According to the Natural Medicine Journal, ASIA causes a multitude of issues: "Clinically, patients with ASIA often present with generalized complaints, such as persistent fatigue, myalgia, arthralgia, neurologic symptoms, cognitive impairment/memory loss, or dry mouth."
Licona's case was bad and it led to another surgery.
She reportedly had to have a portion of her buttocks amputated to heal. Licona lamented her new normal on Instagram.
"I relied on a doctor to tune my body, and without warning he injected polymers into my glutes, substance that generated me the #SindromeDeAsia, itself that I will have to deal with for the rest of my existence," she wrote.

The social media influencer hopes her experience will serve as a warning to others.
In her videos detailing the removal and recovery, it is clear that she is in both physical and emotional pain. She leaves her 2 million followers with a cautionary tale.
"When you are going to undergo any operation, inform yourself, say what you want and what you are not willing to authorize. Believe me, the pain and process I'm going through right now in my recovery, IS NOT EASY AT ALL," she wrote.
