Dyson is basically the Apple of vacuums and blow-dryers. Whenever a new product is announced by the brand, we know we can expect out-of-this-world technology and a product like nothing else They've done just that again with another blow-dryer that is 100 times cooler than the original.
Ahead is the pricey styler that will make you actually enjoy hair-washing day and make you wonder how you ever existed without it.
Dyson has long been a leading innovator in technology.
Its vacuums essentially revolutionized the way we view cleaning and have propelled the brand into household-name territory.
Naturally, when it released its blow-dryer — the first-ever beauty product by the brand — in 2017, people went wild.
But because of its steep $400 price tag, consumers had a hard time justifying spending their hard-earned money on it.
That changed when people began posting reviews of the Dyson hair dryer, which is apparently the best of all time.
Users say their hair routine was cut in half; curly-haired women said it eliminated frizz, and suddenly other brands were making their own versions of the dryer.
When word came that yet another Dyson blow-dryer was coming, it was assumed that we could expect something super high-tech.
And it was. The new Dyson Airwrap is way more than a simple blow-dryer; it not only dries hair but curls it as well.
It's supposed to leave you with beach waves even J.Lo would envy — and the process is way more simple than you would expect.
"The motor creates high air pressure at the top of the styling barrel, forcing high velocity jets of air from six air slots around the barrel. This generates a physical phenomenon known as the Coanda effect which encourages the hair to curl around the barrel to style," Dyson explained in a press release.
Automatically regulating its own temperature, the Airwrap makes heat damage a thing of the past.
The luxurious experience of drying and curling all at once will cost you a pretty $500.
So, is it worth it?
If it cuts your hair routine in half and prevents further damage, it probably is.
