Anyone who has a sibling (or raises them) knows that childhood just hits different when thereâs someone by their side. Siblings who grow up together share the same memories, understand their parents like no one else, and love each other in a way that only they can.
Though letâs be real, they also know how to push each otherâs buttons like no one else in the world! Hell hath no fury like a sister who just realized her favorite shirt is missing, right?
Still, no matter how much they drive each other (and their parents) crazy, siblings have a special bond that few can understand. From building epic pillow forts to launching epic pillow fights â and all the highs and lows in-between â thereâs nothing quite like having a brother or sister. And these tweets? These tweets just get it.
Itâs Just So Satisfying
No one is as obnoxiously well-behaved as a child whose sibling is getting yelled at.

Is it wrong? Yes. Do they care? Absolutely not.
Get It Yourself
sibling relationships are weird. its like i can give you my kidney but im not getting you a glass of water.

Unless thereâs something in it for them, âfavorsâ just arenât in a siblingâs vocabulary. (Sorry.)
Quiet Down
If anyone is on the fence about having kids, I just had to break up an argument about breathing.

If youâre not in the mood, youâre not in the mood. And anyone with a sibling knows that sometimes thereâs just nothing more annoying than their mere existence.
Donât Tell Mom
Nobody has a better bedside manner than a kid whoâs trying to get their sibling they just punched to stop crying before their parents hear.

How do sibling fights escalate so quickly? Weâre not quite sure. But thereâs nothing like that drop in one's stomach when they've gone a hair too far and they have to beg the sibling not to tell Mom.
A Battle of Extremes
My kids are finally all at that stage where theyâre old enough to entertain themselves when theyâre not trying to kill each other.

Growing up with a sibling is half Full House, half Survivor. And we wouldnât have it any other way.
Surprise, Surprise!
10-year-old: I'm working on a surprise for my sisters.
Me: A nice surprise?
10: No, the normal kind.
Uh oh.
— James Breakwell, Exploding Unicorn (@XplodingUnicorn) March 31, 2021
With big brothers, itâs never a nice surprise. Ever. It's like their brains work on a different level. What is it with them, anyway?
Some Things Never Change
My daughters fight all day. I'd like to think they'll outgrow it, but I have a sister.

Anyone who's a siblings knows that the sibling dynamic never goes away, no matter how old everyone gets. A little sister at 7 is still a little sister at 47 and there's no way around it.
Lessons Learned
My son told his teen sister that she was being âway too emotional.â
I let it play out. Some things are better learned the hard way.
— Jessie (@mommajessiec) April 6, 2021
Having an older sister is a masterclass in how to speak to and treat women and this kid? Well, heâs about to take an advanced course.
That Youngest Kid Life
Came across these hot chocolate packets stashed in my sonâs drawer, in case you wondered what being the youngest in a big family is like. pic.twitter.com/TNgcxzCtEp

Anyone who has never called dibs on food or hidden snacks in their room so their wouldnât have to share, were probably living that #onlychild life. Just sayin'.
Get Out
Me: get out of my room
My sibling: Iâm not in your room
Me: GO AWAY

No situation can escalate as quickly as a sibling placing one toe in the otherâs room after they told them to get out. Parents, duck for cover. Itâs going down.
Down to the Last Drop

Hey, fair is fair. And one sibling getting a drop more than another? Totally unfair. That's a parenting pro tip for life: Everything has to be the EXACT same. EXACT.

Is an older sibling even an older sibling if they havenât lied about where their younger sibling came from? Not in our book.
The Greatest Mystery
What do people with no siblings do when they feel like irritating someone for no good reason?
— Raeesa (@raeesa_randeree) January 29, 2019
Itâs like an itch we have to scratch. How does one hold in all their annoying energy? Oh yeah, and sorry, siblings of the world. We don't know why, but that's just the way it is.
No Explanation Needed

A whole scene in just one photo. (But hey, IYKYK.)
Itâs Funny Because Itâs True
