This is Gigi Gorgeous. You probably know her — she's quickly nearing 3 million YouTube subscribers, she's been the subject of a critically acclaimed documentary, and she's one of the transgender community's most notable figures.
But that's not why she's in the spotlight today.
Gigi made a vlog about her recent trip to Israel, where she attended a screening of her documentary, "This Is Everything," at the Tel Aviv Film Festival.
And the internet is not OK with it for multiple reasons.
For starters, she titled her video "Becoming Jewish," which had viewers angry before even seeing the video.
She — or whoever edited this video — also used a well-known Punjabi song as background music.
And that angered viewers even more, as Gigi's words and actions claimed respect and awareness for the Jewish faith.
Meanwhile, the music choice seemed to indicate a lack of knowledge about the cultures' differences — or an understanding that there is a difference at all.
While many were upset with Gigi's title and editing, even more were appalled by her behavior.
In the video, she attempts an Israeli accent with a character she called "The Princess of Israel," which many perceived as mocking.
Viewers also expressed distaste toward her general lack of humility when walking on Jewish sacred land — mostly because she's laughing or showing physical affection toward girlfriend Nats Getty at many points in the video.
Gigi — who is part Lebanese — also spent her trip donning both traditional Palestinian garments and other items with the Star of David on them.
Some viewers consider this seeming lack of knowledge and respect unforgivable due to the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

All in all, the comment sections across Gigi's social media accounts seem to agree that the video is embarassing to watch regardless of religion, race, and location.
And the whole thing simply could have been handled in a much more respectful manner.
Consider this a lesson in what not to do when traveling to foreign countries.
