Customers Call Out Logan Paul, MrBeast, Saying They Found Mold in Their Lunchables Dupe, Lunchly

YouTuber Rosanna Pansino has called out the new lunch kit brand, Lunchly, and suggested that it might not be the healthy alternative it claims to be. Lunchly currently sells three different types of lunch kit: Turkey Stack ‘Ems, “The Pizza,” and Fiesta Nachos. YouTube personalities Logan Paul, MrBeast, and KSI created Lunchly, and have promoted it as a healthier alternative to Lunchables.

However, Rosanna claims that when she opened a Lunchly pizza packet, she found mold.

Rosanna created a video to compare Lunchly and Lunchables.

On October 19, 2024, Rosanna shared that she was trying to compare Lunchly and Lunchables. She said her experiment ended up having “disgusting” results.

When she opened her Lunchly packet, she says she found that the cheese was moldy, she revealed in a video shared on X. “I was filming a video comparing Lunchables to Lunchly and was shocked when I opened ‘The Pizza’ Lunchly. The cheese had MOLD!” Rosanna wrote on the platform.

The expiration date was still 2 months away!” she added. “I checked online and found at least a dozen other people posting that their Lunchly’s were moldy too.”

In her full video about Lunchly, she shared more details.

In the full video shared on Rosanna’s YouTube channel, she said she just bought the Lunchly meal at “the store” and the package said “use by December 8, 2024.” She posted the video on October 19.

“Some of the most brilliant minds of YouTube came together to create Lunchly. They really care about people and their nutrition and their kids,” Rosanna said sarcastically. She then added, “I’m so sorry, I think I threw up a little bit saying that. None of them are foodies nor do they give a s—.”

She emphasized that the products could be especially dangerous for young children who wouldn't necessarily recognize mold in their food.

While mold is obviously gross, it’s also dangerous. “This is not safe,” Rosanna said in her video. “Especially for kids that are so young. They might not know what mold looks like, so they might just eat it.”

While Rosanna is a known critic of MrBeast, one of the YouTubers behind the brand, she is not the only person who has allegedly found mold in a Lunchly packet.

Twitch streamer aSpicyCow also posted on X  saying he found mold in a Lunchly packet. “The whole reason I did this is because I did NOT believe the original source as she was clearly biased against mrbeast. So I wanted answers and bought every lunchly I could find,” aSpicyCow wrote. “I didn’t expect mold, but i found mold.”

In a statement, a representative for Lunchly said all Lunchly products 'go through a stringent review process.'

Responding to the allegations, a representative for Lunchly said, “all Lunchly products go through a stringent review process to ensure the quality and safety of its products,” per Newsweek. The news outlet also reported that a source urged people to “consider the context and the source” when they see claims about Lunchly products.

Lunchly products need to be refrigerated, according to the brand’s website. Commenting on her own YouTube video, Rosanna shared that after she purchased the Lunchly packet, she “put it into our own fridge within 20 minutes.”

She added that she “did not fake this video.” Rosanna claimed, “looking online there are dozens of other people reporting moldy Lunchly’s as well.”

YouTuber Logan Paul addressed the claims.

On October 28, Logan Paul addressed rumors about a Lunchly recall. At the end of the video, he explained that “the USDA inspects every finished food lot and approves it before even leaving our facility.” He added that “it’s possible that issues happen in transit like a seal breaking or at the store level with rough handling, but just like any produce you buy, problems can arise.”
