Viral Video Shows Teen Sobbing After Mom Kicks Him Out for Wanting To Be a YouTuber

There’s no official manual stating this, but one of the core tenets of parenthood should be the same one doctors take when they begin practicing medicine: "First, do no harm." Obviously, there will be ways we unknowingly harm our kids — we’re human after all. But attempting to shame or blame children out of certain behaviors can be soul-crushing.

One teenager shared his heartbreak after his mother kicked him out of the house over his aspirations to become a successful YouTuber.

'I got kicked out for no reason, bro,' the teen says in the video.

The unnamed teenager recorded a video of himself after the confrontation with his mom — and it went viral. In the video, the tearful boy can barely speak as he explains what happened with his mother. He says, “I just got kicked out for no reason, bro. My momma called me all types of b—- and telling me she hates me. All of this and I didn’t even do nothing, bro. I swear to God, bro.”

The argument started over dirty clothes.

But this mother’s insults didn’t stop there. She also told her son that he wouldn’t ever be anything, that he’s going to be a bum. Apparently, the argument started when the boy’s mother realized he didn’t have clean clothes to wear to school. The boy says his mother is the one who didn’t wash them.

The boy managed to still find the bright side.

Even in the middle of his breakdown, the teen had a positive outlook on the whole situation. He said the people who doubted him will look back on this moment with regret. “This is before I blow up, bro,” he said. “Everything is going to change and people are going to change when I blow up. Just watch, that’s all imma say.”

People on the internet offered words of encouragement.

While this boy’s mother may not have given him the support he needed, the people on the internet who watched the video, had sympathy for him.

“One thing lots of Black parents don’t do is believe or invest in they kids,” one woman wrote. “It’s always figure it out. I hate to see this and feel his pain.”

Another user commented on his mother’s actions: “Will never understand why parents try to steal the joy from their kids. Let that man dream. No need to project your inability to accomplish thing on your kids. Reach for the star, lil homie.”

Others offered advice for his burgeoning YouTube career. “You made it bro,” someone commented. "Call you channel ‘KickedOut’ or some like that and get that money!!"
