Kim Kardashian Made A Tabloid Regret Calling Out Her ‘Bad Skin Day’

It's easy to forget that celebrities are human just like us ā€”Ā  just ask The Daily Mail, the popular yet often ruthless British tabloid that recently found itself eating its words. And though it's known for shaking the table, after a tasteless headline about Kim Kardashian's recent breakout, many think that the website has gone too far.Ā

Kardashian stayed classy and yet again played advocate for everyone out there suffering from the skin condition psoriasis. Well played, Kim, well played.

As crazy as it sounds, Kim Kardashian has become the beauty standard for a lot of people.

Women literally shell out thousands of dollars to remotely resemble her. From makeup to body to hair to skin, the obsession with the reality star is unparalleled.

Kardashian quickly clapped back at the trashy article that read, "Makeup mogul Kim Kardashian suffers bad skin day ahead of Master Class beauty seminar" with a simple response: "It's psoriasis all over my face."

Kardashian, who has been open about her struggle with the disease for years, spoke out about her flare-ups in December.

"I think the time has come I start a medication for psoriasis," she wrote. "Iā€™ve never seen it like this before and I canā€™t even cover it at this point. Itā€™s taken over my body. Has anyone tried a medication for psoriasis what kind works best? Need help ASAP!!!"

According to WebMD, "Psoriasis is a chronic skin condition caused by an overactive immune system. Symptoms include flaking, inflammation, and thick, white, silvery, or red patches of skin. Psoriasis treatments include steroid creams, occlusion, light therapy and oral medications, such as biologics."

Unfortunately, there's no outright cure for the condition, but symptoms can be alleviated with the use of topical medications, internal medications, and phototherapy.

The Daily Mail almost immediately began catching heat for the insensitive headline.

"Itā€™s honestly disgusting seeing people making nasty comments about Kim Kardashianā€™s skin… She literally has psoriasis."

The tabloid clearly forgot that psoriasis can cause much more than a "bad skin day."

"Psoriasis is not a bad skin day.Ā It is an often debilitating auto-immune disorder. Please learn facts before you look dumb."

Even those who aren't fans of Kardashian came to her defense.

"Someone took the time to write, edit, and post this. Iā€™m not a fan of 'influencer' or whatever Kim Kardashian West does, but Iā€™m certainly not a fan of shaming someone for psoriasis."

Someone who also lives with the condition poked fun at having something in common with Kardashian.

"Sooooo if Kim Kardashian has psoriasis… and i have psoriasis too… does that mean iā€™m a Kardashian? and does that mean sheā€™s my psoriaSIS??!!"

Jokes aside, the Daily Mail backlash continued.

"Be empathetic to people and their problems. Think before writing insensitive articles. Just because someone is famous it doesn't mean they [don't] have their own personal battles!"

At the end of the day, Kardashian is merely a human. She holds an unreal amount of influence, but, like, come on.

"So youā€™re saying she is human?" one Twitter user wrote, perfectly summing up what's wrong with this entire thing.

Criticizing anyone for a condition such as psoriasis is, simply put, messed up.

It's a condition that affects over 100 million people. And though it's incurable, there are some products out there that can help calm symptoms. Ahead are three topical products that are dermatologist approved.
