After blowing up her life a few months ago, Madison Bergmann, the Wisconsin teacher who was charged with first-degree sexual assault after it was discovered she was having an inappropriate relationship with her fifth grade student, still wants to be around kids.
Bergmann's attorney recently filed a request to clarify the stipulations of her bond, which could put her back out into the general public. Since her arrest in May, Bergmann has been living a quiet, secluded life due to the court's original decision, but it seems she's ready to re-enter society.

Bergmann is asking the judge to allow her to be around kids again, months after her arrest.
The New York Post reported that Bergmann is barred from being any place where children may be present. Her attorney filed a motion in late July asking the judge if Bergmann is allowed to go places such as restaurants or stores where children could pop up.
In addition to asking if she's allowed to eat out or shop, Bergmann's team filed a motion to dismiss the criminal complaint against her.
Her request isn't sitting well with her former colleagues.
Bergmann's former colleagues at River Crest Elementary School in Hudson, Wisconsin, aren't too keen on the idea of her possible return, according to the Post.
"It’s ridiculous," one teacher told the news outlet. "She has left a wake of destruction at the school, and she thinks she shouldn’t face the consequences for that?"
The teacher also shared that after Bergmann was fired, another fifth grade teacher quit at the following school board meeting. Members of the school board said the teacher who resigned may have known about Bergmann's actions with the student and chose to do nothing about it. That teacher hasn't been charged with any crime.
The whole school is dealing with the consequences of Bergmann's actions.
"It’s been a weird summer," the teacher admitted. "We’re all answering parents’ questions. When it comes to kids, everyone is so protective, and rightly so. But when two fifth-grade teachers get fired as part of a sex scandal, you have idea how crazy things can get."
Things certainly did get "crazy" when the parents of Bergmann's 11-year-old student overheard him talking to her on the phone. Soon, it was uncovered that they had been sharing salacious text messages, including ones of Bergmann telling the child that she enjoyed "making out" and revealing interactions that happened in her classroom.

Understandably, one of the student's parents stormed the school, demanding an explanation.
The anonymous teacher recalled the "dramatic day" the young boy's father showed up at River Crest Elementary School with printouts of the conversation his son and Bergmann had been having. "He was not calm about it, and he was not quiet," she said.
The school district is working to do whatever it can to get justice in this case.
"The district continues to work with law enforcement on this situation," Nick Ouellette, Hudson Schools superintendent, told community members during a school board meeting that took place in May, the Post reported. "We are conducting our own investigation to determine what other actions should have been taken."
Bergmann's life will never be the same after this.
After Bergmann was arrested in May, she was released on a $25,000 signature bond. According to sources close to the family, she has been living in seclusion on her grandparents' farm.
She was supposed to get married to her fiancé, Sam Hickman, in July, but after her actions with her student, the wedding was called off. A friend of Hickman's previously told the Post, "He says it was f—ed up that she cheated with a little kid."
