Being a parent to a baby is exhausting. As moms, we’ve spent many sleepless nights and days walking like zombies, just trying to make it through. Parents’ actions sometimes become rote because we feel like we’re always doing the same thing over and over, day after day. Muscle memory is pretty incredible, and not just us mom; dads do it, too.
TikToker @weareregularmums posted a funny video of a dad rocking his baby’s stroller back and forth at Sunday school. It’s an endearing moment, but there is just one little problem: There’s not a baby in sight. We love this because this man really is all of us.

His fatherly instincts kicked in.
According to the video, the family was at Sunday school, and the dad had the baby’s stroller with him. Text on the video reads, “You are a dad and you know if you stop moving the baby will wake up.”
So he does what many parents would do. He carries on his conversation while continually pushing the stroller back and forth.
He doesn't quite realize he's pushing an empty stroller.
As other children in the room sing sweetly, he pushes the stroller back and forth to the beat. The TikTok’s caption reads, “I talk a lot about mommas on here but these dads deserve some credit 😆 I’m so grateful my babies have such a good dad whose instincts never fail him.”
Plenty of parents have done the same kind of thing.
The video has 1.9 million views, with many parents commenting that they’re guilty of mindless parenting.
As one person wrote, “I still do the hip sway, and my kid is an adult lol.”
One person burped a grown adult. “I would instinctively pat my partners back when we would hug because I was so use to comforting and burping my kids,” the fan explained.
Some people do this when they don’t even have their kids with them. “I caught myself doing this to a shopping cart when i was alone,” someone else confessed.

Don't worry – the baby was fine.
Many asked what happened to the baby, and @weareregularmums commented that her husband had given her the baby to be fed just a few minutes before. This tired dad seemed to be doting on the empty stroller because his heart told him to.
Someone laughed, “Lol, Dad forgetting is hilarious, but I love he continued to try.”
Luvs Diapers commented from its official TikTok writing, “He’s on autopilot 😂.”
We promise there is no judgment here. We’ve definitely swayed, pushed, and hummed to an imaginary baby. We also might be guilty of cutting up an adult’s food from time to time. We won’t tell if you won’t.
