Nobody does “I’m here against my will” better than Ben Affleck attending an event with wife Jennifer Lopez. Wednesday’s premiere of J.Lo’s new movie was no exception, and fans were once again treated to what appeared to be a quiet squabble between the pair. Could things really be as rocky at home as everyone has been claiming?
The Daily Mail shared a clip from the moment the two seemed to get into it.
Ben and Jen didn’t seem to be too in sync at Wednesday’s premiere of The Mother. The pair appeared to exchange words as Jen wildly gesticulated with her hands. Whatever they were talking about seemed intense, and J.Lo’s typically radiant smile was replaced by an obvious frown.
They quickly snapped out of it when cameras started clicking.
Ben and Jen quickly recovered and exchanged a smooch before moving down the line and posing for more photos. But the make-out session wasn’t enough to distract from what amounts to just another incident in a growing line of public spats.
Over the past few months, the pair have been caught having a loud argument at the premier of another one of Jen’s movies and the infamous Grammy’s fight that was broadcast all around the globe.
Things only got worse from there.
The same week as The Mother premiere, another video of Ben and Jen went viral. This time a miserable looking Ben was videoed slamming the car door on Jen after holding it open to let her in.
People couldn’t help but laugh at the father of three for his ability to turn a sour disposition into Twitter gold time and time again.
The expressive movie star claims to be quite happy despite all evidence to the contrary.
Ben addressed his meme-able face during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. He says he knows he has a “very unhappy-looking resting face” but he doesn’t think he should be punished for it. “That’s how God made me,” he added.
He went on to demonstrate several different expressions of Joy for Jimmy, each of them ending in the same dour expression we’ve grown used to seeing from Ben.

Ben and Jen are set to celebrate their one year wedding anniversary in July. This milestone has been a long time coming, considering their original engagement dates back to the early aughts.
Maybe this was just a mix of nerves and feeling overwhelmed as they tried to make their way through a crowded red carpet appearance and not a sign that their romance is in trouble. Bennifer stans just can’t take any more heartbreak from these two!
