Demi Moore Celebrates Her First Mother’s Day as a Grandma With a Bikini Selfie

Mother's Day was doubly special for Demi Moore. The Ghost star got to celebrate not only 35 years of being a mom to daughters Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah but also her brand-new status as a grandmother. And in honor of the occasion, she shared a bikini selfie on Instagram, proving she's still got it at 60.

Demi's Mother's Day post highlighted the beauty of motherhood.

She shared a series of three photos. In the first, she doesn't look a day older than she did in the prime of her movie career in the 1990s as she poses in a cheetah-print bikini top and sunglasses. In the black and white image, she's holding her new granddaughter, Louetta. It appears that the duo may have just enjoyed a little dip in the pool, as they both have wet hair.

Demi's post also featured an unfiltered photo of her helping her daughter Rumer through labor.

Demi's oldest child gave birth to Louetta on April 18, and it looks like her famous mom was right by her side as she delivered her at home. The G.I. Jane star can be seen lovingly embracing Rumer as she navigates the pain and overwhelming emotions of giving birth.

"Circle of life," Demi captioned her post, in a nod to the moment when her own daughter become a mother for the first time.

Demi's third photo shows her pregnant with Rumer.

In the black and white throwback image, a nude Demi is sitting on a chair in the middle of a meadow, showing off her baby bump. In her own Mother's Day post, Rumer paid tribute to Demi for loving and supporting her as she stepped into first-time motherhood.

"To be able to celebrate this day with you is beyond words, the privilege to walk in this path of motherhood with you by my side to support and guide me is something I have only dreamed of. Thank you for holding the most beautiful space for me as I made the transition from maiden to mother. Thank you for helping me walk through and rise to the occasion to have the birth I dreamed of," she wrote to her mom in the post.

"What a gift to finally truly understand the depth of love that you have for me and my sisters because of my own endless well of love I have for my daughter. I love you mom."

Demi really seems to be embracing her new role as grandmother.

After Rumer publicly announced the news that she and boyfriend Derick Richard Thomas were expecting a baby together, Demi took to social media to joke about her impending new status. "Entering my hot kooky unhinged grandma era," she wrote in an Instagram post, sharing photos of Rumer and Derick.

But all joking aside, it's clear that Demi is loving every moment of being a grandmother. In March, a source told Us Weekly that Demi was excitedly throwing herself into preparations for little Louetta's arrival. "She can't wait to be a grandma and is helping Rumer get ready in all kinds of ways — figuring out the nursery, brainstorming baby names, buying her 'what to expect' type books, recommending vitamins, and of course sharing her own experiences of a smooth pregnancy," the insider said.

Louetta is likely a bright spot for the family right now.

Demi's ex-husband Bruce Willis, with whom she shares her three daughters, is sadly battling frontotemporal dementia, or FTD, a progressive disease whose symptoms include marked changes in behavior, language, and communication. The diagnosis forced the 68-year-old action star to step away from his successful Hollywood career.

Since his diagnosis, Bruce's loved ones have been rallying around him and spending as much time as possible with him while they support him through his health challenges. We're sure that the arrival a new baby in the family has been a welcome blessing and source of joy for them all at such a difficult time.
