13-Year-Old Allegedly Filming TikTok With Other Juveniles Dies From Apparent Gunshot Wound

A 13-year-old Arizona boy is dead, and police believe he may have been filming a TikTok at the time of his death. Khalil Robinson was reportedly in a parked car with two other juveniles in Sierra Vista on April 4 when a gun went off inside the vehicle. Police received several calls regarding shots fired in the area and a victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Per a release from the City of Sierra Vista, Robinson's family took him to Canyon Vista Medical Center for treatment, and he was airlifted to Tucson for further treatment. Sadly, the teenager succumbed to his wounds the next day.

The incident occurred in the evening.

According to the release, the incident occurred inside a vehicle in the 200 block of Andrea Drive. It is unclear what the occupants were doing or why they had a gun, but police have a theory.

"It was possible they were making a TikTok video," Sierra Vista Police Public Information Officer Scott Borgstadt told People. "But we haven't been able to confirm it yet."

Multiple people called police.

The apparent gunfire prompted several people to call authorities for help. Additional calls were made to police stating someone had been shot and medics were needed to help tend to the wounds, per the release.

Canyon Vista Medical Center personnel contacted police shortly after they arrived to inform them Khalil had been shot and was at the facility being treated.

Despite receiving medical attention, Khalil died.

The teenager was flown to Tucson for further treatment but reportedly succumbed to his injuries at 6:07 a.m. Friday, police said. Borgstadt told People one of the juveniles inside the vehicle was responsible for the shooting but did not give further clarification as to how the shooting happened or whether it was intentional or a tragic accident.

The teenager's family is heartbroken.

Khalil's aunt, Pamela Robinson, took to Facebook to share her grief.

"My handsome Nephew I woke up crying. Because I miss you so very much I cannot believe that you are gone It hurts so bad It feels like Someone ripped my hole inside out and Now I am so empty And my heart is shattered in so many pieces And I will never forget you and that beautiful handsome smile you have And the nice caring heart that you Have And I love you so very much My nephew Khalil Robinson Rest in peace until we meet again," she wrote.

Loved ones created a GoFundMe account to help Khalil's family.

According to the fundraiser, Khalil would have turned 14 on April 15. Any money raised will "help the family during this difficult time."

Donors shared their support.

One person wrote, "This is something non parent should have to endure.. My prayers and condolences to you all."

"Sending all prayers & Blessings to the entire family all the way from Long Island Ny♥️," someone else shared.
