A new year is a time to start fresh, and Justin Timberlake seems to be doing just that by completely wiping his Instagram feed. The singer was the face of controversy at the end of 2023 when ex-girlfriend Britney Spears released her memoir The Woman in Me. In the book, Britney went into great detail about her three-year relationship with Justin, including the reveal that Justin asked her to get an abortion when she unexpectedly became pregnant.
Backlash against Justin was quick, and since then he has largely been quiet on social media since the book’s release. Until now, of course, and his latest move is leaving fans confused about what's going on.

Justin's Instagram has gone suspiciously blank.

This week, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Justin’s entire Instagram feed has been scrubbed and was down to zero posts. In addition to the lack of posts, the profile picture has changed. It is now a close-up shot of Justin’s eyes looking into a mirror.
It looks like he may be teasing new music.
While it hasn’t been announced yet, it looks like Justin is gearing up to release new music, as artists sometimes scrub their accounts to tease new projects. Back in September, after the release of 'NSYNC’s first single in 20 years, sources claimed that Justin had new music planned for the near future.
"Justin is coming out with a new album, so he’s planning a big US tour for 2024," a source told Page Six at the time.
He disabled his Instagram comments a while ago.

After Britney's book release, Justin’s Instagram posts were full of vitriolic comments about his treatment of his former girlfriend during their relationship. As a result, he disabled comments on all future posts.
At the time, a source told Page Six that Justin made the decision to disable the comments due to the "hateful, disgusting things people were saying."

Britney detailed having an abortion after becoming pregnant with Justin's baby.

Britney spared no detail of their relationship in The Woman in Me, talking about the abortion that she says Justin encouraged her to get.
"I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated," Spears wrote. "But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young."
He hasn't publicly addressed Britney or the book.
While Justin hasn’t publicly addressed the book or Britney's claims about him in it, he did seem to comment on the debacle at a December performance at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas.
Prior to singing "Cry Me A River," a song that has been long rumored to be about Spears, Justin said "No disrespect." A fan captured the moment on video.
