Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt’s Daughter Zahara Joins Historically Black Sorority

Sophomore year of college is already shaping up to be a good one for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's 18-year-old daughter, Zahara Jolie-Pitt. After she appeared in a video with the rest of her sorority sisters, we know that Zahara has joined Alpha Kappa Alpha at Spelman College, which she started attending in the fall of 2022. Although becoming a part of Greek life is exciting enough, this sisterhood is extra special, because Alpha Kappa Alpha is the first historically Black sorority.

Zahara appeared in a video shared by Essence.

Joined by her sorority sisters, Zahara can be seen introducing herself in the video.

You can watch her step forward to introduce herself as she says, "My name is Zahara Marley Jolie. Coming all the way from the Golden State in the city that is full of angels, Los Angeles, California … I am this line’s number seven."

The comments were full of support for Zahara.

Angelina has shared peeks into Zahara's college life before.

Just before the school year started in 2022, Angelina shared a photo of Zahara with some of her classmates on Instagram, writing about how proud she was of her daughter.

"Zahara with her Spelman sisters! Congratulations to all new students starting this year. A very special place and an honor to have a family member as a new Spelman girl," Angelina captioned the photo.

Alpha Kappa Alpha is the first intercollegiate historically Black sorority.

Alpha Kappa Alpha began at Howard University in 1908, and decades later, it's still going strong, with chapters at colleges worldwide. According to AKA's official website, the mission of the sorority is to cultivate high standards of academics and ethics, promote unity and friendship among women, and to be of "service to all mankind."

Congratulations to Zahara!
