TikTok is blasting a “selfish” mother for exposing an entire plane full of people to her family’s illness after she refused to cancel their vacation to Disney. Recently, a mom recounted the horrific ordeal in a now-viral TikTok video. She detailed how her family decided to continue their vacation plans despite her and their daughter suddenly becoming ill.
In the nearly six-minute clip, the mother explains that she spent a year saving and planning for a trip to Disney World. Her 4-year-old daughter started “throwing up everywhere” the night before they left, followed by the mom. She told herself it must be food poisoning “because it can’t be a stomach virus.”
The next morning, the mother started driving her family to the airport — and her 7-month-old began vomiting in his car seat. Still, they arrived at the airport, made it through security, and boarded the plane.
“You get strapped in, and at this point, your husband’s not doing so well,” she continues in the video. “And you take off, and your 7-month-old has the most diabolical, ungodly blowout in his diaper that you have ever seen in your entire life.”
After cleaning up the baby as best as they could with the only two wipes left in the diaper bag and no extra outfit, her husband vomited for the last 30 minutes of the flight.
Ultimately, the family arrived for the Disney vacation. But at what cost?
One person replied, “‘Put a finger down if you don’t care about other people’s health and will make your family suffer for your own selfish desires.'”
Another echoed, “I don’t have a finger to put down, but I doooo have a particular finger to put up 🙄.”
Someone else shared, “I’m a flight attendant and the lack of care for everyone on that flight is UNREAL.”
“Disney is NOT worth all this,” a different TikTok user pointed out. A second person agreed writing, “All of this for 2 kids who won’t even remember the trip.”
Yet another person commented, “All because SHE wanted to go to Disney! So put everyone else through is misery.” Someone else wondered, “This is ‘no fly list’ worthy right? Because I really this it is.”
Meanwhile, a different TikTok user summed it up perfectly, writing, “YOU TOOK DOWN A WHOLE PLANE of people. I want to see the videos of all the other healthy families who then got sick halfway through their trips. LORD.”
