Beyoncé and Jay-Z are in hot water with fans this week after they were caught having dinner with the Kushners. On Saturday night, music’s reigning couple headlined a charity gala in Atlantic City to benefit the rapper’s organization, The Reform Alliance, which aims to improve conditions for those on parole and probation. And after a photo surfaced of Donald Trump‘s daughter Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, dining at the same table with Beyoncé and Jay-Z, fans have a lot to say about it, and none of it is good.
The star-studded event was themed as a casino night.
As multiple outlets including the Daily Mail reported, the pricy event on Saturday night — which first began in 2023 — featured food, gambling, and a performance by The Weeknd. Reportedly, those who were invited as guests had to have been approved by board members, which includes Jay-Z, Meek Mill, Michael Rubin, Robert Kraft, Clara Wu Tsai, and Daniel Loeb.
Plenty of celebrities were in attendance, including model Ashley Graham and comedian Kevin Hart … and of course, Ivanka and Jared.
Ivanka and Beyoncé both showed off their outfits on Instagram.
Though Beyoncé’s post kept it simple, with a caption that said, “Reform Casino Night,” Ivanka shared a bit more, writing about what the Reform Alliance’s mission means to her.
“An incredible evening supporting @Reform and their commitment to the mission of transforming probation and parole to forge real pathways to work, wellbeing and success,” she wrote.
Beyoncé was spotted smiling at Ivanka over dinner.
Photos from inside the event have made their way to X, where Beyoncé was seen sitting across from Ivanka and Jared at their table.
Considering how different Ivanka and Jared’s political views have appeared to be from those that Beyoncé and Jay-Z hold, fans were surprised to see them at the same event — let alone at the same table.
Fans haven’t been happy with Beyoncé’s choice of friends.
“Beyoncé and Jay-Z inviting Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner to a roc nation event is extremely insane and disappointing given her silence on the genocide in Gaza,” one fan wrote on X. “But you won’t see her fans holding her and her billionaire husband accountable. Considering they can do no wrong.”
Another critic posted, “doing all that campaigning for kamala just to be buddy buddy with trumpies … so weird.”
So far, Beyoncé hasn’t responded to the backlash.
