If you’re a fan of Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, you’re likely well aware of his wife and mother of his three children, Brittany Mahomes. While in past football seasons she could often be found cheering him on from a private luxury box, Brittany hasn’t been cheered on much herself, especially from online critics. Over the past few years, she’s garnered a reputation of being somewhat difficult and showy and some football fans are just over it. She’s recently getting dragged for doing a little complaining on Instagram that definitely rubbed a few people the wrong way.
A short and sweet social media share has some people completely cringing at Brittany Mahomes again.
Oh, it must be difficult to be Brittany Mahomes some days. Or perhaps that’s exactly what she wants you to think.
Someone on Reddit shared a recent social media video that Brittany posted that showed her walking in the rain in a pair of slippers that looked a little worse for wear, but not totally awful. The caption on her video said “Now I gotta get new slippers dude.” Just from a little rain? That seems a tad excessive.
The person who shared the Reddit video captioned it “She never stops complaining, does she? Money will NEVER buy class.” Yikes.
Several people in the Reddit thread were really not in the mood for this kind of thing. One person wrote, “Wow….The absolute entitlement. How many folks out there are working day in and day out in crummy boots and shoes that don’t have the means to replace them when they get wet!!!”
Another individual pointed out that a quick weather report check would have gone a long way here. “What does she mean “Now I gotta get new slippers”? She’s the one that didn’t check the weather. She made the choice to walk outside with slippers,” they shared.
Brittany’s social media posts from the past have rubbed many people the wrong way.
In this Reddit thread titled “She is such a brat,” someone shared a screenshot from an Instagram post that Brittany shared in January 2025. On an all black screen, Brittany shared “Thank you for all your concerns with 15 this season. See y’all in New Orleans. His wife.” Her sign-off was enclosed in a red abstract heart.
At the time, a lot of folks depicted this post from Brittany as a little nod to anyone who doubted her husband, Patrick Mahomes, and the quarterback’s skills on the football field as he played through injuries. What was lacking was any sort of subtlety, which is exactly what got on people’s nerves.
Several individuals in the Reddit thread were not a fan of this kind of display. One person wrote, “The way she acts like she coached his team to get where they are, b—- sit down and STFU.” Another person shared, “Peaked in High School with maturation. She’s been clinging on to his cleats since then.” Ouch. That one has to sting a little.
Another person felt that this post was doing pretty much the opposite of what Brittany might have been hoping for. “Once again SHOWING the world how incredibly immature, ignorant, stupid, petty and “unbothered” she truly is,” they wrote.
Some can’t help but wonder if Brittany actually deserves the hate she routinely gets.
Even though it was a few years ago now, there is a Reddit thread that exists that states that “people hate Brittany Mahomes … for absolutely no reason.”
For those who might feel this way, there was an incident at the Superbowl that may remind people of something that turned them right off when it comes to Brittany’s behavior. This Reddit thread discusses the backlash she received after spraying fans in the stands from the luxury box with champagne.
The post shares Brittany’s tweet that reads “I just wish I could do what I want without getting attacked every week.” Okay, does that include getting real messy with a bottle of champagne at a public event, Brittany?
The Reddit post showed someone in the Twitter comments in 2022 setting her straight by sharing, “I would have been pissed if you would’ve sprayed me with alcohol and then had to drive an hour home. Not everyone has a driver, not everyone drinks, not everyone enjoys being soaked with a beverage, and no one likes their QB and team’s reputation tarnished by ignorance.”
Well, that just about sums up people’s thoughts on entitlement and thoughtless behavior when it comes to Brittany Mahomes, doesn’t it?
