Kylie Kelce’s Parenting Rules Apparently Exist Because Jason & Travis Were Absolute Chaos as Kids

Raising kids in 2026 is a whole other world, so it’s no wonder that Kylie Kelce has some rules set in place for the four kids she shares with the Philadelphia Eagles’ former center man, Jason Kelce. If you look at things from a wider perspective and think about what Jason might have gotten into with his younger brother, Travis Kelce, back in the day when they were kids, it makes sense that Kylie has a few directives in her house that may have been influenced by Jason and Travis’ chaotic behavior as children. Most of the rules are for her kids’ safety, so they seem to be pretty justified.

On an episode of their podcast, Kylie Kelce shared a few parenting rules that exist due to Jason and Travis’ risky behavior as kids.

On the May 6 episode of their podcast, New Heights, a fan asked Kylie Kelce, Jason’s wife and mother of their four children, if there are any household rules that exist in her home that are a direct reflection of some of the mischief that Jason and Travis used to get up to as kids. In short, the answer is yes.

Kylie divulged that “there are things that [she] would never allow to happen because of stories that [she’s] been told.” Jason immediately challenged his wife and asked, “Like what?”

Kylie shared that one of the rules she’s implemented involves their vehicles. “One thing for sure is no one plays in the car,” she said firmly. To which Jason couldn’t help but inquire if this rule is related to when Travis drove a car through a garage. Kylie called out her husband here when she said, “Or when someone took a dump in the trunk?”

To clarify, both Jason and Travis say that it was Jason who made a mess in the trunk as Travis claims to go “potty in the bathroom.”

There’s also a story involving throwing knives that Kylie hopes to avoid.

If you were a fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies as a kid, you might appreciate this story on some level, even if it horrifies you as a parent.

Kylie went on to share that something else directly related to some crazy Kelce brothers stories involves proper kitchen storage when it comes to their knife collection. “I have taken into consideration how our knives are stored,” Kylie said with folded arms.

Jason chimed in on this one by sharing, “we used to throw knives in the air outside.” When Kylie asked him to clarify who the “we” was that he was describing, Jason said that there was one known story told about himself as a child, but he was pretty sure that Travis partook in the risky activity as well.

Travis shared that he “got in on some of that fun for sure. Who doesn’t want to throw knives in the air? You ever seen ‘Ninja Turtles‘?” Someone in the Instagram comments pretty much shared our collective thoughts on what it took to raise these two boys. “Mama Kelce is a literal saint for just keeping these two alive,” they wrote. Truly, what a miracle worker that mother was.

On a previous episode, their mom Donna Kelce shared a silly story about Travis that also involved a knife.

On an episode of their podcast from about a year ago, Jason and Travis brought their mom, Donna Kelce, on to answer some fan questions. After she gave a mother’s perspective on a parenting related question, she couldn’t help but discuss how Travis was a bit of an attention-seeking child.

Donna shared that when Travis was in preschool, he used to “run around the house” with a towel around his neck that was clasped by a chip clip. The things that kids find amusing are often hilarious.

One day, he was playing too hard and the chip clip made a small cut along his neck and when he went into preschool the next day, he told everyone that his “father had cut him with a knife.” With a smile, Donna said that she felt like she had some explaining to do to everyone that day.
