AnnaLynne McCord & Danny Cipriani Face Backlash Over Wedding ‘Honeyfund’

With a combined net worth in the millions, it seemed like a given that actress AnnaLynne McCord and former professional rugby player Danny Cipriani would be throwing a truly impressive wedding, but what people didn’t predict was that the celebrity couple would also be asking their guests to help pay for the event.

After AnnaLynne and Danny launched a fundraiser to cover their wedding expenses, fans are giving them a lot of side eye, and for good reason. Don’t they have the money for this?!

AnnaLynne and Danny are asking for money on Honeyfund.

AnnaLynne and Danny are tying the knot in Los Angeles on October 22, and as multiple outlets including Hello! magazine reported, the couple has registered for a Honeyfund in lieu of more traditional wedding gifts, asking guests to shower them with money instead.

There are plenty of options at different price points, most of which include bigger expenses that can be split up and shared among multiple guests. From asking eight people to pay $600 to help construct their dream wedding venue to registering for a $100 gift that will cover their marriage license, they have pretty much everything covered here.

There’s no way of seeing what people have purchased for them so far (if anything), but considering the fact that AnnaLynne herself is reportedly worth more than $4 million, it’s safe to say that they probably could have handled all of these expenses themselves.

The backlash against the couple has been swift.

As you probably could have predicted, people aren’t really taking all that kindly to AnnaLynne and Danny asking for cash gifts at their wedding.

In one Reddit thread about the situation, people are not only calling the registry “tacky,” but they’re also saying that AnnaLynne and Danny probably don’t want to pay for their own wedding because they know the marriage won’t last. Ouch!

“Even though I’ve seen it dozens of times now it still always surprises me how shameless rich people are,” another wrote.

This isn’t the first time AnnaLynne has been the subject of controversy in recent years.

If she looks familiar to you even though you’ve never seen Nip/Tuck or 90210, you probably know her as the lady who recited a poem she had written about being Vladmir Putin’s mother that turned into a viral meme in 2022.

Well, technically, the poem was actually about how different the world would be if she had been his mother, because she would have loved him enough that he never would have grown up to invade Ukraine. So.

Hopefully, that controversial moment prepared her for this one, because so far, it’s not pretty. And with the wedding just a few months away, does she really still have this many elements left to pay for, or is she just hoping to be reimbursed? We have so many questions.
