A QVC host recently made a NSFW mistake on air and people can’t stop talking about it. When introducing the “Salon Select Wig” on Wednesday, August 5, Toni Brattin accidentally said “blowjob” when she meant to say “blowout.”
She was clearly mortified by the mistake, which has since gone viral on social media. Luckily, the network seems satisfied with the way she handled the blunder—even though she was so embarrassed that she literally dropped to the floor and hid from the cameras.
Unfortunately, she can’t escape the awkwardness.

In addition to the fact that it happened on live TV, videos of the awkward moment have been shared across social media platforms, where they’ve garnered millions of views. So, in a way, the “Salon Select Wig” has gotten way more attention than it otherwise would have, but maybe not for the best reason.
Still, most people who have reacted to the blunder have been extremely supportive. They found it hilarious, but had nothing negative to say about Toni, who made an honest mistake at an unfortunate time.
So, what happened, exactly? When trying to sell the wig, Toni was boasting that it looked comparable to how your hair would look after a salon visit. But she ended up saying something… very different from that.
“Again, it looks like you went and got a blowjob at your…” Toni started to say before noticing her mistake and attempting to correct herself. She continued, “… blowout … at your salon.”
She shook her head and sunk to the ground.
Obviously, she couldn’t believe that she actually said that on live TV. And the internet couldn’t believe it either.
“Oh no! Poor lady. She sounds so embarrassed,” one person wrote on X. “I would be mortified.” Someone else said, “It’s her standing frozen like this for like a hot minute that made me laugh so hard.”
“And she never turned around again,” someone else joked. Now that it’s gone viral, Toni has embraced it and shared the clip on Instagram. In response, another QVC host, Melissa Epps, wrote, “I’ve watched this no less than a hundred times. Screaming with laughter.”
Jimmy Fallon also shared the clip on his show.
Toni’s co-host, Terri Conn (who seemed relatively unfazed by the awkward mistake and continued to promote the product), shared Jimmy’s reaction to the clip via Instagram. In the comments, QVC praised Terri for remaining so composed.
“Are we not going to talk about how amazing @terriconnqvc was at that recovery though?!” the shopping network wrote.
Toni also told TMZ that the network has been understanding. Apparently, QVC reached out to her after she made the mistake—but to thank her for being professional and handling the blunder well. Toni has been working in television for 30 years at this point, but presumably has never experienced anything quite like this.
She told TMZ that she stood still for a moment because she had hoped that producers would switch cameras after her “blowjob” comment. All in all, she made people laugh and got a lot of people talking about QVC.
