Comedian Nikki Glaser Spent Almost $100k on Tickets to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour

After how quickly tickets to Taylor Swift‘s record-breaking Eras Tour sold out, many fans had no choice but to pay wildly high resale prices if they wanted to see her perform live. Those fans included comedian Nikki Glaser, though it sounds like she might have spent a bit more cash than others did! In fact, recently Nikki said she spent nearly $100k on going to 22 shows on the tour … whoa!

Fans who follow Nikki online know how much she loves Taylor.

She hasn’t tried to hide just how big of a Swiftie she is, even renting out a private movie theater to watch the Eras Tour movie with like-minded fans when it was released in 2023. But finding out just how much she spent on seeing Taylor live during the tour really puts her love for the singer into perspective.

Nikki estimated that she spent 'close to $100,000' on going to 22 Eras Tour concerts.

The concerts she went to were spread out over the past two years, and thankfully, that total isn’t just what she spent on tickets, as she told People magazine.

“I want to be clear that we’re including travel expenses, hotels, and me also flying and putting up everyone that I would invite to go with me, plus tickets, plus merch,” she said.

She admitted that she 'would've paid even more' if necessary.

“I justify that cost because I don’t have kids, and it’s something that I consciously decided not to do, and it was something that I struggled with,” she said. “It wasn’t the easiest decision. There was a part of me that was like, ‘I would like kids,’ but it just doesn’t fit in my life. And so in order for me to make myself feel better about the decision, I did look up how much it cost to raise a kid. And so once I saw that number, I thought, ‘It’s no problem for me to spend this on Taylor Swift.’”

That’s fair!

Nikki believes people who would judge her for spending so much money on Taylor's tour are 'just jealous.'

“No one ever shames anyone for having kids and says, ‘Oh, what a waste of money. Oh, you’re flaunting your wealth.’ But for some reason, when I go to 22 Taylor Swift shows, it’s like, ‘You’re so privileged. How dare you spend that money,'” she said.

“And it’s like, ‘Was I supposed to invite you? I don’t know you, ma’am.’ It’s very confusing to me.,” she added. “If I didn’t buy the $6,000 ticket, some other trust fund guy or some kind of hedge fund manager would’ve bought it for his niece. I wish the world were more fair. I wish it was a lottery. I really do.”

She also used the tour as an excuse for family bonding time.

Over the summer, Nikki shared that she brought her parents, Julie and Edward, along for multiple concerts while Taylor was in Europe.

Alongside photos of her and her family at the shows, she wrote, “On break from my own tour, I went and followed Taylor’s in Europe and brought my mom and dad with me. I don’t have kids and so this is what I like to do with my free time and money because there’s nothing like a mad woman.”
