HGTV Fires Nicole Curtis & Removes ‘Rehab Addict’ Episodes From Streaming Platforms

One HGTV star is coming under fire for something she said in a moment that she hoped would never see the light of day. A video from the filming of her renovation show, Rehab Addict, has been leaked and was published by Radar Online on Wednesday, showing Nicole Curtis letting a racial slur slip during a moment of frustration… and then asking the crew to delete the footage.

Nicole said the n-word while she was struggling with a project.

In the clip, which was taken while filming about two years ago, Nicole can be seen standing on a latter, attempting to work on a renovation project, when she lets the slur slip as things aren’t going her way.

You can hear her say “Why? It’s the last one. Oh, fart n—–.”

She immediately seems shocked at what just came out of her mouth, saying, “What the f— is that I just said? Nick, you gotta, you gotta, can you kill that? F— my life.”

Ultimately, the answer was no — he already had too much other footage to delete it all at that point, and now, the video has surfaced.

HGTV quickly took action.

The network didn’t waste any time preparing a response. In a statement issued to People, HGTV said the network was “recently made aware of an offensive racial comment made during the filming of Rehab Addict. Not only is language like this hurtful and disappointing to our viewers, partners, and employees — it does not align with the values of HGTV.”

The statement continued, “Accordingly, we have removed the series from all HGTV platforms. We remain dedicated to fostering a culture of respect and inclusion across our content and our workplace.”

A source also spoke to Radar Online about the situation. “When something happens, we all know about it… this footage has made it around to the community she screwed over,” the insider said. “You deserve everything you get. Treat us with dignity and respect, and quit making money off of our backs… You are a trash human.”

Nicole has already spoken out about the situation.

In the midst of the fall out, Nicole took to her Instagram Stories to let her followers know that she had been busy with her kids all day and not ignoring the headlines about her.

At the same time, she shared a text message with a statement she’d sent to TMZ earlier that day. “I want to be clear: the word in question is wrong and not part of my vocabulary and never has been, and I apologize to everyone,” she said.
