Kelly Ripa Reveals Husband Mark Consuelos’ ‘Freaky’ Make Out Habit

Even when couples have been together for a long time, there are still things they will find odd or weird about each other … or, if you're Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, there might even be those quirks you find "freaky," even after 30 years of marriage. The couple, who cohost the morning talk show Live with Kelly and Mark, aren’t shy when talking about the more intimate parts of their decades-long marriage. A lot of people find it to be a bit much, but Kelly and Mark spend a lot of time together. Kelly has always been an open book about her life, so it’s not surprising that she’s willing to bring up her hubby’s quirks, especially if she finds them weird.

During the most recent episode of her podcast, Let’s Talk Off Camera, Kelly opened up about Mark’s kissing style, and it may be a bit surprising.

“This man has made out with me and I will somehow open my eyes, and I see him staring,” she shared. “I’m like, ‘Can you not have your eyes open?’” She also admitted that she found his behavior “very freaky.”

Apparently, Mark only kisses Kelly like this.

Kelly shared Mark’s “freaky” secret while recalling a funny story about Mark innocently kissing another woman while he was attending a soccer game for a team the couple co-own in Italy.

“He was like, ‘I just got carried away, and I closed my eyes,’” Kelly explained, saying that Mark kissing with his eyes closed “was the thing that got me.”

Mark made a serious confession on-air.

Mark first told his wife the wild story in April during an episode of Live, sharing that the kiss happened because he got caught up in the moment.

“I’m running and I see this lady, let’s call her my aunt — maybe someone else’s aunt — and we look at each other and we’re so excited and there’s this [plexiglass] and we come to the glass, and you know what? I kissed her,” Mark admitted.

Kelly was in total disbelief that the kiss even happened.

He went on to add that he “laid one on her,” explaining that “It was a smooch, but it was passionate.”

The thing that made Kelly question everything was Mark admitting that he closed his eyes when he kissed this stranger, and she found it suspicious. “Do we have footage of this?” she asked. “We don’t have footage of it?”

Reflecting on one year of cohosting Live with Mark, Kelly said she believes the show is successful because she and her husband are “relatable” as a couple.

“We have disagreements like a normal couple, and we’re not afraid to let them unfold on the air and in front of America, and I think people find a lot of themselves in that,” she said in an interview with Deadline in April.
