‘Teen Mom’ Catelynn Lowell & Tyler Baltierra May Be About To Lose Their Michigan Home

Teen Mom stars Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra are at risk of losing their home. Reportedly, the MTV couple's $450,000 Michigan home may soon be under foreclosure after they failed to pay property taxes for the residence in 2022. According to a Certificate of Forfeiture of Real Property filed in March and obtained by In Touch, Catelynn and Tyler owe $5,007.72 in taxes to Sanilac County, Michigan, for the 2022 fiscal year.

A document spelled out the details.

“On March 1, 2024, the following real property was forfeited to the Sanilac County Treasurer for non-payment of property taxes for the year 2022,” the forfeiture document reads. “If the 2022 taxes are not paid by March 31, 2025, absolute title to the property and any equity associated with an interest in the property will vest in the foreclosing governmental unit."

The couple faces foreclosure if they fail to pay the money.

If Catelynn and Tyler fail to pay the specified amount, they potentially could lose the house to foreclosure. “If the property is not redeemed and is foreclosed and sold or transferred, a person with an interest in the property at the time of judgment of foreclosure may claim that person’s interest in any remaining proceeds,” the document notes.

Catelynn and Tyler listed the home for sale in 2023.

In September 2023, the couple listed their three-bedroom, three-bathroom home for sale at $454,900. Three months later, they reduced the price to $449,900. A reason as to why is unclear.

They first purchased the home in 2017.

The couple first bought the home in May 2017 for $220,000. It is 2,626 square feet. In February 2023, they purchased a new home for their family. They share daughters Nova, Vaeda, Rya, and Carly (who was placed for adoption in May 2009).

Their new home is larger.

Catelynn and Tyler's new house is more than 500 square feet larger than the old one. The home, which is in Lexington, Michigan, sits on almost 6 acres and includes a 30×40 pole barn, a cabin, and a pond, according to a listing viewed by In Touch. It has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a three-car garage, and an updated kitchen, along with a finished basement that has a second family room and a full kitchen.
