Tristan Thompson’s Ex Claims He Owes a Whopping $224K in Child Support Payments

Tristan Thompson better get his bank card ready, because Jordan Craig is taking him to court for child support, and she’s asking for money to the tune of a quarter million dollars. She is claiming that Tristan hasn’t paid her a full child support payment for their son Prince since November 2022.

At this point, Jordan is requesting that the court garnish the basketball player’s hefty wages to make sure that their son has everything he needs. This comes after her sister Kai Craig took to social media to blast Tristan for being a bad dad after he was praised by Kim Kardashian.

Tristan reportedly owes hundreds of thousands of dollars in support.

Daily Mail obtained the court documents and reported that Tristan owes $224,000 in back child support payments. When Tristan and Jordan reached a custody agreement for Prince, 6, he agreed to pay $40,000 a month.

Jordan revealed that Tristan has made "either partial payments or missing child support payments altogether" since November 2022.

Jordan says his efforts aren't good enough anymore.

The list of payments show that over 10 months, Tristan sent a half payment in November 2022 and a full payment the following month, but nothing in January 2023. Between February and July, he reportedly made six $14,500 payments, and $29,000 in August — none of those being the full $40,000 he was ordered to pay monthly.

Jordan is asking to have Tristan's wages garnished

Now, Jordan is asking the court to withhold Tristan’s Cleveland Cavaliers income after he re-signed with the team this year on a $2.7 million annual contract. This is a huge difference from the $17.7 million income he was making when they made the child support agreement.

She is requesting an order to withhold $80,000 a month from his earnings, which she hopes will "stay in effect until the arrears are satisfied."

Tristan's finances have changed since the agreement was made.

"It is my belief that Tristan signed a 'veteran's minimum' contract with the Cavaliers that pays him $2.7 million per year. The $80,000 request is certainly less than half of his monthly salary," Jordan wrote in the declaration.

Page Six points out that when the agreement was made in 2019, Tristan only had one other child, True, his first with Khloé Kardashian. Now, he also has son Theo with Maralee Nichols, to whom he pays $10,000 a month in child support, and son Tatum with Khloé in 2022.

Jordan's sister Kai isn't letting Tristan off the hook.

Earlier this month, Jordan’s sister Kai took to Instagram to accuse Tristan of neglecting Prince. The post has since been deleted.

"It has been so hard to refrain from speaking up, and out of respect for my sister’s privacy. I haven’t for over 7 years, but this is just too much," she wrote. "It’s so painful to see how Tristan can find the time to do these nice things for others but can’t seem to show up and be a real parent for my nephew Prince."

This came after Kim Kardashian praised Tristan’s parenting on The Kardashians.
