Twin Brothers Immortalize Their Dad’s Wrinkles With Incredibly Meaningful Matching Tattoos

Ask any parent who is gaining a healthy worry line or two on their foreheads about what put it there, and they will undoubtedly say their kids. Their children could be the pinnacle of perfection (not possible, but I digress) and still they'd worry

Although there are many of us doing whatever we can to get rid of the evidence our children are worrying us right into old age, we often forget there is a lot of beauty and privilege in that aging process. And one son on Reddit was determined to honor that by getting a rather quirky tattoo of his dad's wrinkles.

User81repeating, whose name is Justin, posted this photo with the caption: "Wanted a tattoo for my dad, so I got the wrinkles in his forehead."

People in the forum were, of course, a bit cagey, poking fun at the tattoo with comments like:

"Well it’s only fair, since you gave him those wrinkles in the first place.," one person posted.

But others were pretty into it.

"I can’t stand most tattoos. I like this one…" one person commented.

The inspiration for the tattoo hit when Justin and his dad, Mark (pictured with Justin's twin brother) were having a casual conversation.

"[W]hen he thinks hard about something he furrows his brow," Justin explains to CafeMom. "So I noticed when he does that he gets this interesting shape on his forehead. I told him to hold his expression and took a picture of it. A few months later me and my twin brother were talking about getting a tattoo as a tribute to my dad … and the rest is history."

Justin got the tattoo on his right forearm and his brother did the left forearm.

It was an easy decision to make — Justin and his brother love the heck out of their old man.

"I got a tattoo for my dad because he is the most selfless, kindest, and smartest man I know," Justin tells CafeMom. "I know I’m biased, but he has helped me through tough situations, and will always drop anything he’s doing for me and my siblings. I liked this idea because it is representative of his intelligence since it only happens when he is thinking."

And as for dad's reaction?

"My dad was very touched. He was holding back tears I think, then he told me to get my a** outside and mow the lawn."

Typical dad — ha!

Wrinkles don't seem so bad now, do they?
