Mom Shares ‘Aggressive’ Hot Dish Cooking Video & Her Vibe Is Everything

We don't know about you, but sometimes, the thought of having to cook dinner for our entire family every night from now until eternity is like living a nightmare. Sure, we signed up to take care of these people when we entered this family arrangement, but that doesn't mean we don't feel totally over it every now and then. Thank the Lord for social media because otherwise, we might think we were totally alone in our feelings.

Have you had a chance to watch Jessica Seacrest's aggressive Tex Mex tater tot casserole tutorial yet? We aren't sure how you missed it because when we say this thing is viral, we aren't kidding. Millions of people have viewed Seacrest's aggressive meal-making, and we are here for it.

She means business.

Jessica, who posts on TikTok as @applesauceandadhd, is not a professional chef; she is a real mom cooking dinner for a gaggle of kids. As soon as she slammed that skillet down, we knew we loved her. It is no-nonsense cooking. Her taco tater tot casserole includes ground beef, cheese, tots, and a couple of "metric tons" of garlic.

Yep, we are garlic people, too, Jess. She makes sure to instruct us to do this all "aggressively."

Jessica's kids are chirping in the background.

Again, this is not a quiet-on-the-set kind of thing. Her kids are talking in the kitchen as she eyeballs her spices and gives some good tips such as not seasoning your meat over a hot pan or it will cause the spices to clump in the jar from the condensation. Who knew?

But she isn't all willy-nilly; when it's time to top the taco meat with the tater tots, she does want us to put them in a pretty pattern … it's important.

"Don't just dump them on," she says. "That is chaotic and crazy."

When it's finished, she gives it a taste and tells us, "Of course it's good. I made it," before she throws her fork down and tells us to "follow along for more aggressive tutorials.”

People are obsessed.

Jessica definitely has a lot of fans. She is from Grand Rapids, Michigan, and was recently interviewed by the Detroit News about her newfound fame. She said she became a stay-at-home mom in 2021 and started TikTok for fun. She had no idea that people would react the way they have.

"I never would have dreamed that anybody would even care, honestly," she said "It blew my mind that I was standing in my kitchen in Michigan and someone in Italy was watching me," she added.

But watch they do. She has racked up 1.1 million followers, and her videos get millions of views. She has 20 million combined likes. That is insane.

The reason everyone loves her is because she is so darn relatable.

No one seems to care that she is aggressive. Honestly, they love it. People were all about this tater tot casserole.

"I felt like I had accused you of making terrible tot casserole and this was your proof that it's fire and maam I believe you now," someone wrote.

"I don't know why but I love cooking tutorials where I'm getting yelled at the whole time," another person joked.

And who has time for measuring? Not this TikToker. "No measuring ingredients, but dumping the tater tots on top is too chaotic? love it! " a third person commented.

And so much this: "'it's frozen…… It's FINE.' "

We need more people like Jessica in our lives.

Being a mom is chaos; we all know that. It is nice to see someone being honest about it for a change. And, again, that dinner every night thing is for the birds. We are totally in on this kind of recipe.

"My videos might be silly and aggressive and entertaining for a lot of people, but there's a very large handful of people who actually do cook what I make, and that definitely feels good," she told the Detroit News.

Jessica, thank you for making us feel seen. Seriously, nothing is better than watching another mom do exactly what we are feeling. We love your tips and that you don't measure the cheese and just dump that bag on top. Honestly, can you ever have too much? Like you say, it's fine.
