A New York father learned both of his daughters had died in a car accident by tracking their location using an app. Hailey Trumble, 19, and Shelby Trumble, 17, were reportedly traveling in a Chevy Cobalt in the town of Ira on August 1 when the fatal accident occurred. Their father, Brian Trumble, was apparently concerned when he couldn't get ahold of his girls, but he never expected to get such heartbreaking news.
Brian Trumble told Syracuse.com he tracked and located his daughters at the crash site using the Find My Friends app. The family's life will never be the same.

The accident occurred in the early evening.
Hailey and Shelby Trumble were traveling Eastbound on Ira Hill Road near the intersection of Farnam Road when "the vehicle crested a hill and crossed into the opposite lane, striking a second vehicle," according to a news release posted on Facebook by the Cayuga County Sheriff's Office.
The sisters' car hit a 2016 Jeep Cherokee driven by Robin Latham, 59. Latham was taken to a hospital with serious injuries but survived the crash.
The sisters died from their injuries.
The sheriff's office did not say what caused the sisters' vehicle to cross into oncoming traffic, and the incident is still under investigation. Both Hailey and Shelby Trumble died from injuries they received during the crash.
Their father told Syracuse.com he tracked their location at the accident site after he texted them several times and they did not respond. "It's a tremendous loss," he told the news outlet. "It's never going to be the same again."
Loved ones created a GoFundMe account for the Trumble family.
Karrie Wallace wrote that she was reaching out on behalf of Brian and Riley Trumble during an "unimaginable loss and need."
"This go fund me is for funeral expenses and unforeseen medical bills as there is no life insurance to cover specific costs. Support for Brian and Riley Trumble, father and older brother to the girls, to cover costs associated with this tragedy. Allowing them to focus on healing with out added burden of financial stress," she wrote.
Donors wrote kind notes to the family.
"Just read an article about how the girls could make others' and each other laugh. Pond fishing and other beautiful adventures. RIP," someone shared.
"My heart aches for your family as you navigate this unimaginable loss. Though we are strangers, please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers," another donor wrote. "May you find strength and comfort in the love and memories of Hailey and Shelby."
