School Principal Charged After Allegedly Letting More Than 100 Kids Drink at Her House Party

Florida principal Elizabeth Hill-Brodigan has been charged after more than 100 kids were found drinking at her home. Police say they discovered the minors at the woman’s home. And as if that wasn’t bad enough, one of the children was drunk enough to require medical treatment. Of course, this led to Hill-Brodigan’s arrest.

Now, the elementary school principal and a teacher are being held accountable for allegedly endangering the children. And in addition to possible prison time, they’ve lost their jobs.

Bodycam footage released by Brevard County police shows the crazy scene. On January 19, 2025, police were called to the Cocoa Beach home of Hill-Brodigan after getting reports of an unruly party. Authorities arrived and said they found more than 100 minors on the scene. One minor was so sick, they were being attended to by Brevard County Fire Rescue.

The footage shows a police officer telling the Fire Rescue that the boy is 17. The officer adds that the boy “is not responsive.”

Soon, Karly Anderson approached police officers, identifying herself as a teacher at Roosevelt Elementary School. She appears to be slurring her words while the officer asks her about the party.

“There was, like, 200 kids here, drinking,” the officer says. Anderson quickly replies, “I’ve already known.” The officer then comments that she’s so drunk he could “smell it,” but she denies drinking.

“You’re here with your boss, having a party with 200 kids who are drinking! Get out of my face!” the officer says, getting exasperated.

After the incident, both women were suspended by Brevard Public Schools. An acting principal was named while a replacement for Hill-Brodigan is found.

“We hold our leaders to the highest of standards, and if these allegations are true, it’s a complete failure in leadership and violation of our trust,” Superintendent Mark Rendell said in a January statement shared by NBC News.

Elizabeth Hill-Brodigan was charged with one count of child neglect, five counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and one count of holding an open house party, court records that NBC News obtained show. Karly Anderson was charged with one count each of disorderly conduct and disorderly intoxication, prosecutors said.

According to the court records, the state attorney’s office filed the charges on March 31. None of the records show a plea. Currently, the women are free on bond.
