By now, we've all seen our fair share of infant photo shoots and creative birth announcements. But perhaps none have left us with a case of the munchies quite like one out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, this week. (Just bear with me for a second.) In it, the infant is wrapped up like a literal baby burrito, surrounded by take-out bags from Qdoba. But aside from being just plain adorable, the newborn photo shoot actually tells a story that's far more heartfelt than you might expect.
According to Jessica Schuster, Qdoba holds a special place in her heart because it's where she met her husband, Joshua.
Schuster, who's a store manager at the Layton Avenue location in Milwaukee, says she wouldn't have had her precious bundle 'o joy if it weren't for the fast-food chain.
"I met my husband my first day of work," she shares of their February 2018 meeting. And Joshua was apparently so smitten, he came in "daily" to ask her out.
But Schuster admits that as a single mom of three, she didn't feel she was ready yet to date. At first, she declined — but that didn't deter Joshua, who would still come by to talk to her.
Eventually, his persistence paid off, and Jessica agreed to go for a date. And the rest, as they say, is history.
The pair married in April 2019, and just a month later, on May 13, they welcomed their first child together: Sebastian.
The little guy joins Jessica's other three children from a previous marriage — Analiese, 10, Viviani, 5, and Whesley, 6 — who are all pretty excited to have a new baby brother.
Jessica says she knew right away she wanted to incorporate Qdoba into Sebastian's first photo shoot, and enlisted the help of her sister-in-law.
Joshua's sister, Sarah Swihart, just so happens to be a talented photographer, who came up with the entire setup for the shoot herself (including that adorable baby "burrito" swaddle!). Meanwhile, Jessica supplied the props — which were easy to come by, since they came directly from her job.
Now that the photos have been going viral, Jessica says it's been a pretty cool thing to witness.
Qdoba's official Facebook page even shared the photo, where fans couldn't get enough.
In fact, many shared that they too met their future husbands or wives at Qdoba — and one woman even said it's where she and her now-husband had their first date.
"We sat and talked for three hours before leaving," she shared. "Now we have a beautiful baby boy!"
Another woman shared that Qdoba was her No. 1 pregnancy craving.
"I ate Qdoba constantly during some of my pregnancies," she commented, before sliding in some customer feedback: "Until you got rid of the amazing grilled veggie blend with the zucchini! Please, please bring it back!!"
"It’s been awesome seeing all the comments and people sharing from different states," Jessica says. "We have had a few people reach out to tell the story."
But Qdoba wasn't the onlyeatery the shoot paid homage to. Since Joshua works part-time delivering for Domino's, the pizza chain also got some love.
Adorable, right? And apparently, there's plenty more where that came from. Jessica recently told Today that she and her husband are planning more Qdoba and Domino's-themed photo shoots of Sebastian, and already have them scheduled for when he turns 3, 6, and 12 months.
