Is the Weed Mom the New Wine Mom? Breaking It Down With the ‘Momtourage’ Hosts

From the moment the first human being realized there are some plants enjoyable to smoke, there have probably been people smoking. While the stereotype out there of the average pot smoker is probably still a shaggy-haired teenage boy sneaking a joint at a party or a Deadhead in a tie-dyed T-shirt, the truth is that use of marijuana is probably more common than a lot of us realize.

Now that recreational cannabis use has become legal in a growing number of states, our fearless Momtourage hosts are getting frank about the fact that, yes, there are some "weed moms" out there!

Given that weed is said to help with everything from period cramps to anxiety, this week's episode of Momtourage (found in all the places where we listen to podcasts and presented by yours truly, CafeMom) dives into the issue of why cannabis use is still stigmatized while the "wine mom" culture is still considered funny and fine. To help break this down, hosts Ashley Hearon-Smith and Keri Setaro chatted with Stephanie Kimel, founder of the cannabis storage company Tulip.

From weed moms to working women, all in one juicy episode!

It was recently International Women's Day, so what better way to celebrate than thinking about weed and then enjoying some math? Well, "enjoying" is probably the wrong word since the episode transitions from talking about weed moms to talking about why there continues to be such persistent pay gaps between men and women, especially in fields where women dominate.

Warning: we may need a relaxing edible (if it's legal where every we might be) to bring our blood pressure down after that segment.
