Mom Goes Viral After She ‘Popped Up’ in Daughter’s Class Because She Was Misbehaving at School

Every parent handles disciplining their children differently. Some parents have a more laid-back style, while others use a more hands-on approach. After her daughter’s teacher called home multiple times to report the girl’s behavior, one mom filmed herself in the girl’s classroom to keep an eye on her.

While many fellow parents and teachers praised the mom for showing up to fix the issue, there were people who disagreed. Some people didn’t like the fact that the mom filmed herself and her daughter’s embarrassed reaction.

The mom filmed herself observing her daughter’s classroom.

TikTok user @iambrelle, shared the video of herself in her daughter’s classroom. The video spread quickly, amassing over 6 million views since it was posted. In the video, the mom filmed herself sitting with a laptop in her daughter’s classroom. The little girl was across the room, and her mom caught her crying and looking mortified.

“Popped up at my daughter’s school and sat in her class cuz her teacher called twice this week,” the mom wrote on the video.

Throughout the video, Brelle films herself catching up on work, and even eating french fries while she’s in the classroom. She also pans over to her daughter, who at one point seems to mouth “What are you doing?” at the camera.

This wasn’t a one-time visit.

“I want to see tomorrow’s too mom,” one person wrote. Brelle replied in another video, sharing an update on her plans.

“Today was a lot more progressive,” the mom wrote. “We came to an agreement; me and her teacher, as well as me and her. Instead of me doing it once a month, I’ll be doing it once a week,” she revealed.

She continued, sharing how her presence in the classroom made all of the students “tighten up” their behavior. Her daughter didn’t even “blink without permission.” And with her mom in the classroom, the girl was much more attentive to her schoolwork.

Teachers had the most praise for the mom.

One comment reads: “I’m a teacher. We need more parents like you. Thank you.”

“She don’t blink without permission 🥰🥰🥰 this retired teacher thanks you,” another wrote.

“I’m a teacher and this just made me smile,” another commenter wrote. “Hmm i wonder if i can get a few parents to sit in class with us. 💛💛💛 Mom THANK YOU!!”

“Girl I’m crying at you doing this!” someone else commented. “I work at a school and this is great to have that support.”

Not everyone had something nice to say.

As viral videos do, the story made its way over to X, and people were less kind. Many took issue with the fact that the mom filmed her daughter crying and upset.

“Why do you have to film/post that?” one user asked. “Now your daughter has be shamed on the internet ten, fifteen years from now for mistakes she made when she was child?”

“What the purpose of recording it ?” another user wondered. “Okay showing up to her class and recording it and she gets in trouble tomorrow then what now your baby don’t went viral and probably know what school she at etc these new aged parents aint worfadamn. I ain’t never put my son on blast and I did show up to his school.”

“The way she talked to that child was disgusting to me…” another user shared. “Making your daughter cry like that in school was wrong. There were other things that could have been said… then she filmed it and posted it on the internet…”
