People Hate the Extravagant Way I Dress My Baby but I Really Couldn’t Care Less

We love social media, and we love babies, and sometimes babies and social media are a perfect mix. Is there anything better than watching a video of a baby laughing? We don't think so. And although we hope that when people see a sweet baby online they will be kind and have nothing but nice comments, we know that isn't always the case.

Social media trolls can be downright hateful, and sometimes they don't care how old their victims are. They will even go after babies.

Geriiee Lamb, 27, knows all about online bullying and people being mean to babies. Her daughter, Romy-Rae, was born at 26 weeks of gestation, and as soon as Lamb could, she began dressing up her daughter and sharing videos on her TikTok, @geriieelambb. Even though Lamb thinks Romy-Rae is a little doll, critics think she is way over the top and want her to stop.

Lamb loves bows and ruffles.

And boy, does it show. Her daughter is rarely spotted without a giant bow on her head and the most enormous, ruffly socks we have ever seen. Even though the baby smiles, the haters are full of scowls.

Lamb, who is also mom to son Reggie, isn't fazed by what others have to say. She told the Mirror she loves her baby's look.

"I have always hated people wearing the same thing. It's different – she'll stand out from a huge crowd! I get all sorts of comments [about it], but I'm thick skinned, I really couldn't care less," she said.

A lot of Romy-Rae's outfits are handmade.

It's easy to tell by the size of the bows and ruffles that you won't be able to grab these kinds of outfits at the Target along with a bottle of laundry detergent and an iced latte — these are unique threads.

She gets a lot of Romy-Rae's outfits from the online boutique Once Upon a Bow. Romy-Rae's smiley mug can be seen all over the company's Instagram page, where she is dripping in ruffles.

Lamb has made other controversial styling moves for her girl.

Always unafraid to push a hot button, she had Romy-Rae's ears pierced as an infant.

"Her ears were [also] pierced at six months old," Lamb told the Mirror. "She didn't cry, it didn't bother her whatsoever – people say it's awful, some people like it … Some people love it, some people hate it."

The mom knows that in life, there are always critics. "No matter what you do people will judge. At the end of the day, my daughter is loved beyond belief," she said.

Trolls try to shame Lamb.

She posted a response video to the critics and very clearly told them she has no plans of changing Romy-Rae's style. Even with several images of a very smiley baby, critics had to weigh in.

"Poor kid," someone wrote.

This person was a bit nicer: "She's smiling but it is a bit much."

And then there was a simple "Ew."

Plenty of people love Romy-Rae's look and think Lamb is doing a great job.

"You keep dressing YOUR baby however you want because she's YOURS. And she's just adorable," one person wrote.

This commenter pointed out the obvious: "Has no one seen this babas face in every photo? She's loving life. Adorable."

And then this little nugget: "Keep dressing her like u want now…because soon she will dress how she wants."

Romy-Rae, we think you are styling, and that bow is the perfect icing on a super sweet cake.
