Taylor Swift Beats Trump’s Podcast Record Despite His Claims That She’s ‘No Longer Hot’

President Donald Trump has made it clear that he’s not a fan of Taylor Swift, so he will probably not be too happy to find out that she beat his podcast viewership record. Trump previously suggested that the pop icon is “no longer hot.” However, when she appeared on boyfriend Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast, 1.3 million people watched it on YouTube within an hour of its premiere, the Daily Beast reported. This is nearly double the number of people who tuned in within the first hour for Trump’s appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast in 2024.

According to CNN data analyst Harry Enten, 800,000 people listened to Trump on the Joe Rogan Experience within an hour of its premiere. Of course, the podcast episode still has more total views that Swift’s appearance on the New Heights podcast does.

But given that the New Heights episode just dropped on Wednesday, August 13 and the Trump podcast came out in October 2024, that could change. Within 24 hours, Swift’s appearance on the New Heights podcast had 13 million YouTube views, Variety reported.

The two podcasts might seem pretty unrelated to each other, but Trump has a history of worrying about Swift. In the past, Trump has garnered a lot of attention for his seemingly unprompted rants about her. In September 2024, Trump said he was not a big fan of Swift after she endorsed former Vice President Kamala Harris for president. “I actually like Mrs. Mahomes much better if you want to know the truth. She’s a big Trump fan,” Trump said at the time when asked about Swift.

His criticism quickly became more unhinged. A few days later, he took to Truth Social to write, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” He also criticized her on Truth Social after the Super Bowl in February 2025. “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift,” he wrote at the time. “She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!”

A few months later, seemingly out of nowhere, he declared that Swift is “no longer hot.” He wrote, “Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?'”

He made similar claims when reacting to American Eagle’s controversial ad campaign featuring Sydney Sweeney. While Swift had nothing to do with the campaign, Trump wrote that Sweeney “has the ‘HOTTEST’ ad out there” and compared her to Swift.

“Just look at Woke singer Taylor Swift,” he said. “Ever since I alerted the world as to what she was by saying on TRUTH that I can’t stand her (HATE!) She was booed out of the Super Bowl and became, NO LONGER HOT.”
