‘That Little Weasel’ — I Caught My Ex-Husband Cheating Using the Fitness App Strava

We don't know about you, but we really don't like liars. And don't even get us started on cheaters. They are the worst of the worst. Cheaters often don't care about the other person; instead, they only care about themselves and what will make them happy. It's terrible to know that someone you love and trust could betray you so badly. But you know what feels really good? Catching the cheater and beating them at their own game.

TikToker Megan McGee, who goes by @meg.c.mcgee on the app, thought she was in a loving relationship with a fitness enthusiast. She soon discovered that her husband was a cheater, and she caught him using the fitness app Strava. McGee went full-on detective, and we are here for it.

This proved to be McGee's ex's downfall. The pair both liked to exercise and had accounts on Strava, where fitness enthusiasts share their workout information. Not only does it show what they are doing but also where they are doing it. This little detail is critical to McGee's story.

"If you have a public Strava account or allow someone to follow you on Strava, then they can see where you're running, they can see your start and finish line. Of course, we were married, so we followed each other on Strava," she explained in a viral TikTok with 2.7 million views.

She knew where he was, but apparently, he didn't realize that.

McGee's ex, whom she refers to as "that little weasel," liked to go on runs and started to convince her that the jaunts would be too much for her so he wanted to go alone. When he told her he wanted to take a break from running with her, she realized something more significant was happening. McGee started to dig, and she went deep.

McGee wanted to know it all.

She believed her ex thought he was being pretty slick, but it turns out he wasn't smart enough. "Immediately, I start becoming an FBI detective. I'm thinking, 'What can I go through to find out, like, what is going on?'" she explained.

She took her time piecing together information from multiple sources, but the Strava app was the "cherry on top." Her ex was starting at their house and ending at the same woman's house every time.

"While this didn't tell me the whole story, it sure gave me a lot of reassurance about who he was cheating on me with and what he was doing all those times he was gone," she shared. "So, yeah. I have learned how to use Strava pretty well. Strava, if you're looking to give out sponsorships, I know the ins and outs of your app."

Guess what? McGee is not the only one who has Strava tea.

Turns out, a lot of cheaters have been exposed through Strava.

This person had no idea. "Omg, I have some wacky Strava stories too, didn't marry him but we were in a monogamous LTR (or so I thought). Thanks for posting this!! ."

The story was all too familiar here: "The way I also found out my ex was cheating through Strava."

The cheaters just keep getting busted. "I dated a guy who used Strava for cycling. I caught him lying when he showed up very late for two dates so I ended it. He must have been very confused because I never told him what I found ," one person wrote.

There are tons of apps helping people discover the truth about their lovers.

You don't need to have Strava to get busted, friends. The comment section had many more stories of apps exposing bad behavior.

"I found out my ex cheated on me when the Airbnb host left a review about how 'he and Martha' were such great guests. My name isn't Martha," someone commented.

Another person shared, "I found out through Netflix because someone was binging Gossip Girl … "

Others found out with music. "I found out from Spotify when he made a collaborative playlist with his mistress on our Spotify account. ," someone wrote.

McGee decided to tell the story in a series of posts when she hit 10,000 followers. Now, she hopes to help other women avoid the same situation and is continually adding new juicy details.
