TikToker Having a Bad Day Has the Most Relatable Car Meltdown & We’ve All Been There

Some days, we wake up with a plan. We'll hit the gym before work. We'll get a tasty burrito for dinner. We'll go through our day without incident and get all the things done we need to get done. Those days are great; we love those days. But there are, of course, other days where nothing major goes wrong, but enough small things go sideways that all it takes is one tiny thing to send us into a major meltdown in the car. We can all probably relate to those moments, right?

Well, TikTok influencer Beth Anne Brice, definitely can! Brice, a 22-year-old college student who has over 1 million followers on TikTok, recently posted a video in which she shakily explained that, "Like, I am OK. Like, I am also on the verge of not being OK." As her eyes started to well up with tears, she explained how she was just having one of those days designed to make make a person feel like a hot mess.

It all started with a stye and got worse from there.

Brice started to explain how she had a great plan for her afternoon, but paused to first point out the painful looking stye on one of her eyelids. So, starting the day by not feeling as cute as one would want to? Yep, we've all been there.

Her plan was simple: go to the gym for Pilates class, grab some food from Chipotle, and get to her babysitting job on time. Should be simple enough, but given that she ended up crying in the car, we all know it didn't turn out that way.

Traffic canceled her gym plans.

Brice, who regularly posts content about her workouts with her sister Kaylee, was all hyped up for a Pilates class, but then traffic made her late. She was feeling jittery from taking a pre-workout supplement (before Pilates? How intense was she expecting class to be?), so she was feeling "so angry" and decided to drive to another gym.

When she got to the other gym, she opened the center console of her car to grab headphones, but found something that really started the water works instead. She flashed a picture for the camera and almost lost it again.

She found a photo of her dog who had died recently.

Yeah, when someone is already late, has been fighting both a painful eye stye and traffic, and is feeling jittery, the last thing they need is to be reminded of how much they miss their dog.

At this point in the video, it seemed like a full meltdown was about to happen. But Brice decided to show herself some tough love. She flipped down her mirror, looked herself in the eye and said, "You need to stop!" which actually seemed to do the trick and she was able to start pulling herself together.

The comments were there to show her love.

Now, on the surface, it this video could be seen as kind of silly. A privileged influencer crying over a missed Pilates class and a photo of her dog? Not exactly a great tragedy. But the comments on her TikTok page were filled with support, because the truth is, so many people have had those days were just enough little stuff goes wrong to make us feel like we're riding the hot mess express.

As one of her followers noted, "The 'im okay' and then starting to cry on the 'but I’m on the verge of not being okay' is so relatable."

Someone else pointed out that "It’s always the minor inconveniences that lead to major breakdowns" — and isn't that the truth!

Another user reached out to remind her that "these are the days that warrant 'do not disturb' status and a nap ❤️ tomorrow is a new day."

We don't get a follow-up about it, but here's hoping she at least got her Chipotle for dinner!
