Wendy Williams has largely retired from public life in order to focus on her health, but after Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested last month, she can’t keep quiet. While talking to The Daily Mail this week, Williams opened about Combs’ sex trafficking charges, and it seems like it’s a big “I told you so” moment for the former talk show host.

Williams knew she was right about Combs all along.
While talking to The Daily Mail in an interview published on Wednesday, Williams said many people are remembering that she predicted something like this would happen.
“What is really weird is that I have been told by so many people, ‘Wendy you called it.’ Including some people from my family who have said the same,” she said.
Williams has long been a critic of Combs.
As Us Weekly pointed out, the beef between the two dates all the way back to 1998 when Williams was fired from her radio show, Hot 97, after speaking out against the rapper. Though there have been times over the years when they have seemed to get along, for the most part, Williams hasn’t been shy about how she feels about him — including her opinion about his split from Cassie Ventura in 2018.
“I believe he probably treated her, at some point, like a possession. If you really cared then you’d reach out privately not publicly,” Williams said on an episode of her show that aired at the time.
Today, she calls the claims being lobbed against Combs 'horrific.'
“You know how I feel about that? It is about time,” Williams told The Daily Mail. “To see this video on TV of [Cassie] getting pummeled … it was just horrific. But now you have to think, how many more times? How many people? How many more women? It’s just so horrible.”

The surveillance video that appears to show Combs assaulting Ventura in a hotel seems to be part of his indictment.
The footage, which video leaked online back in May, was taken at InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles. In the video, Combs can be seen shoving, dragging, and kicking his girlfriend as she tries to escape from him in the hotel’s hallway.
At the time, Combs shared a since-deleted video on Instagram where he said he took “full responsibility” for his behavior, which he called “inexcusable.”
“I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now,” he said in the video, via CNN. “I went and I sought out professional help. I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to be a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”
In his indictment, a description of a video showing similar events is included, though Ventura isn’t named.
Combs has pleaded not guilty.
When Combs appeared in court after he was arrested on sex trafficking and racketeering charges in New York, the rapper pleaded not guilty. Two different judges have denied him bail, so he will remain in custody until his trial.
